We have this digimesh network configuration
Coordinator-->Repeater-->Endpoint2

All devices are PRO S2C, always ON and communicate each others
Repeater was removed from the network (powered off)
Endpoint2 was powered off and moved near coordinator (15cm) then powered on
At powerup, Endpoint search the Coordinator node using DN command with coordinator name (NI coordinator string)
Endpoint send DN command three times but command always return error Tried more times the procedure powering up the Endpoint.
But after reset Coordinator radio Endpoint2 discover Coordinator node every time without problems.
Seems that Coordinator can't reply to DN request if the Endpoint2 was initially connected beyond Repeater.
