Power management is an important capability of all embedded systems. Both battery, mobile and even mains powered devices can use features like “suspend to RAM” or “suspend to disk” to wake up a system and get it operational in a few milliseconds. In addition, power management provides functionality for general temperature management which increases the lifetime of embedded devices.
Digi ConnectCore® system-on-modules provide extensive features to support these goals. In this video, we take a walkthrough of Digi's software offerings for Yocto Linux and Android developers, including standard and unique power management features added by Digi on top of the manufacturer BSP, such as suspend to RAM.
